It took a team effort for West High to win the Mississippi Valley Conference Mississippi Division title this spring.

On Wednesday the individual responsibility for that team effort were honored as the MVC released its postseason honors.

All six regular members of the West High lineup received recognition after helping the Women of Troy to a 12-1 MVC record.

Half those six players earned first-team honors as sophomores Emma Koch and Kaily Speer and senior Abby Jans all were named to the Mississippi Division first team.

Freshman Jessica Moonjely was a second-team selection while Meg Moreland and Vivian Mitchell earned honorable mention status.

City High junior Bihotza James-Lejarcegui was a unanimous first-team selection in the Valley Division.

Senior Lucia Wagner earned second-team honors while Amelia Prybil and Kelsey Law were both honorable mention picks for the Little Hawks.
