City High used some late magic to push its winning streak to five straight on Monday.

Daniel Echa scored in the final 10 minutes to lift Class 3A fourth-ranked City High to a 2-1 win over 2A No. 5 Dubuque Wahlert in a Mississippi Valley Conference match at City High.

The Little Hawks improved to 11-3 with the win and moved to 7-3 in MVC play while Wahlert dropped to 7-5 on the season and 6-4 in conference play. 

Rasmus Schlutter gave City High a 1-0 halftime lead with his fourth goal of the season.

Wahlert evened the score at 1-1 when Jack Kalb scored off a Sean McCoy assist in the second half.

The goal from Echa put City High on top for good as the Little Hawks hung on for their fifth straight win.
