Jared Brinkman got a final tune-up before the Drake Relays on Tuesday sweeping the throwing events at the Cedar Rapids Xavier Invite in Cedar Rapids.

Brinkman won the shot put with a toss of 61-0 and added a title in the discus with a mark of 150-0 ½.

Regina finished fifth with 72 points while City High was sixth with 35 ponts.

Ottumwa won the team title with 152 points followed by host Cedar Rapids Xavier with 115 and Marion with 101.

Jack Jensen added a runner-up finish in the 400 and Regina won the distance medley and 4×100 relays.
