There was no post-cross-town showdown letdown for West High on Tuesday.

Class 3A No. 2 West High scored five first-half goals and cruised to a 9-0 win over Cedar Rapids Jefferson (1-6) in a Mississippi Valley Conference match at Barker Field in Iowa City.

Regan Steigleder scored four goals and had an assist and Emma Cooper had three goals and three assists as West High improved to 8-0 on the season 4-0 in MVC play.

Carlin Morsch had a goal and an assist and Rachel Olson had a goal in the win.

Marnie Vonderhaar, Lexi Shaffer and Lizzie Raley all had assists.

Katie McGrane and Ali Tauchen combined for the shutout in goal for West High.

City High Falls in Double Overtime

Class 2A No. 11 Cedar Rapids Xavier scored five minutes into the second overtime to earn a 1-0 win over 3A No. 11 City High in a Mississippi Valley Conference matchup in Iowa City.

Tana Felton provided the game-winning goal off an Elena Minor assist in double overtime as Xavier improved to 4-2 on the season and 4-1 in MVC play.

City High dropped to 4-4 on the season with its third straight loss and dropped to 2-3 in MVC play.

Clear Creek Amana Downs Marion

Hannah Bormann scored a pair of goals and added an assist to lift 2A No. 7 Clear Creek Amana to a 4-1 win over Marion in a WAMAC matchup in Marion.

Clare Austin and Carson Gallagher each added goals as Clear Creek Amana improved to 9-2 on the season.

Sarah Johnson had a pair of saves in goal and Carolina Herrera had two assists for the Clippers.
