Clear Creek Amana improved its winning streak to six straight with a 5-1 win over Center Point-Urbana (3-3) in Tiffin.

Class 2A No. 13 Clear Creek Amana scored four second-half goals to break open a close game and improve to 6-1 on the season.

Operating against a stiff wind the Clippers led 1-0 at the half on a Chris Malfese goal off a Pau Alberich assist.

Clear Creek Amana put the game away in the final 40 minutes.

Mitch Evans started the second-half scoring with a pair of goals, the second coming off a John Denny assist.

Alberich found Jackson Pettinger to make it 4-0 and following a Center Point-Urbana goal, Tyreke Williams capped the scoring with a goal off a free kick from just outside the penalty area.

Ian McDonald had six saves as Clear Creek Amana narrowly missed its fifth shutout of the season.

Regina Remains Unbeaten

Regina remained unbeaten with a 4-0 win over Davenport West (2-10) on Thursday in Davenport.

Class 2A second-ranked Regina improved to 5-0 on the season and has now outscored opponents 25-3.

Kieler Brown scored twice and Nate Green and Nick Pechous each had a goal and an assist for Regina.

Mason Welter had two assists and Leonardo Gasparoni added an assist for the Regals.
