Solon shot a 327 to finish second, one stroke behind WAMAC rival Mount Vernon at the Tipton Invite on Thursday at the Tipton Golf and Country Club.

Sterling McIlravy fired a 79 to earn runner-up medalist honors and Marcus Martin shot an 80 to place fourth for the Spartans.

Drew Wolfe earned medalist honors with a 73 to lead Mount Vernon to the team title.

Wilton finished third while West Branch was fourth with a 348.

Brady Lukavsky shot an 84 to lead West Branch while Ted Bridges shot an 87 and Trevor Thein fired an 88.

McCarty Earns Medalist Honors in Dual With Benton Community

Brandon McCarty fired a two-over-par 38 to earn medalist honors in a WAMAC dual with Benton Community on Thursday at Amana Colonies Golf Course.

Cory Siders shot a 48 for Clear Creek Amana as the Clippers finished with a 195.

Landen Pace and Tyler Eggert each shot 44 for Benton Community which won the dual with a  180.
