Another trip to Cedar Rapids, another win for the West High track team.

West High claimed its second team title of the week at a meet in Cedar Rapids, winning the 31st annual Wilkinson Relays on Friday at Kingston Stadium.

Cedar Falls was third with 73.5 points and City High was seventh with 44 points at the 11-team meet.

The Trojans won six events and added a pair of runner-up finishes to roll up 107.5 points, 29.5 more than runner-up Cedar Rapids Kennedy.

Kolby Greiner won the 1,600 and joined Derek Nugent, Jeff Garbutt and Ethan McAreavy on the Trojans’ winning 4×800 relay team.

Austin West won the 200, Gabe Caruthers won the 400 and Max Hill won the 110 hurdles for West High.

Jared Sam-Merriwether won the high jump and Jonathan Gannon finished runner-up in the discus.

JP Rethwisch finished second in the 400 to pace City High while Matthew Dodge was second in the 1,600 and the Little Hawks were second in the 4×400 relay.
