West High senior Noah Bruns was named Mississippi Valley Conference Mississippi Division swimmer of the year this week when the league announced its postseason honors.

Bruns shared the Mississippi Division swimmer of the year award with Landon Albro of Waterloo.

Freshman Izaak Hajek and junior Griffis both earned first team all-division honors for West High.

Griffis earned first-team honors in the 500 freestyle and Hajek received first-team recognition in the 200 IM.

The West High 200 medley relay team of Hajek Sam Deyak, Brennon Keen and Ben Berhow also received first-team honors.

City High had a pair of freshman earn first-team honors in the Valley Division.

Forrest Frazier earned first-team honors in the 100 backstroke and 200 IM while teammate Louis Stephan received first-team recognition in the 100 breaststroke.

Frazier and Stephan were both memebers of the City High 200 medley relay that earned first-team honors along with Eric Thomas and Mickale Sadecky.
