Evan Anderson
West High graduate and current Youngstown State sophomore punter Evan Anderson averaged 47.3 yards per punt on three attempts in a 45-13 loss at Kentucky on Saturday.
Anderson had two punts of over 50 yards and had another punt down inside the 20 in the loss to the Wildcats.
On the season Anderson is averaging 46.3 yards per punt helping Youngstown State to a 1-1 record.
Cassidy Hartman
Liberty High graduate and current Northern Iowa senior Cassidy Hartman had a match-high 31 kills in a five-set loss to South Dakota on Saturday in the Panthers’ final match at the South Dakota Classic.
The 6-foot Hartman hit .373 in the five-set loss to the Coyotes and added 17 digs and four blocks.
Hartman had 26 kills and 27 digs in a four-set win over Air Force on Thursday and had 10 kills, seven digs and three blocks in a sweep of Utah Valley on Friday as Northern Iowa went 2-1 at the three-day event.
On the season Hartman leads Northern Iowa with 114 kills and ranks second on the team with 85 digs helping the Panthers to a 3-3 record.
Grahm Goering
Former West High standout and current South Dakota State senior wide receiver Grahm Goering had a team-high nine receptions for 117 yards in a 34-18 loss to Northwestern on Saturday in Evanston, Illinois.
The 6-foot-2, 205-pound Goering has a team-high 11 receptions for 177 yards this season helping the Jackrabbits to a 1-1 start.
