Regina’s Litton and Wallace, Solon’s McCollum Highlight Area IPSWA All-State Boys Basketball Selections

Regina and Solon each had impressive seasons end last week at the state tournament in Des Moines.
On Tuesday players from both teams began to reap the individual rewards for that team success.
Regina juniors Tate Wallace and Will Litton and Solon junior Tate McCollum all earned all-state honors from the Iowa Print Sports Writers Association when the organization released its postseason honors.
Litton and Wallace each were all-state selections in Class 2A after helping Regina to a 23-2 record and a spot in the Class 2A state semifinals.
Wallace was named to the Class 2A first team following a strong season in which he led Regina with 16.2 points per game while shooting 66 percent from the field.
The 6-foot-3 Wallace averaged 5.6 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.3 steals per game.
Litton was a third-team selection in Class 2A after averaging 13.3 points and 6.4 rebounds per game while shooting 53 percent from the field.
The 6-foot-5 Litton averaged 2.6 assists and 1.6 steals per game.
Solon junior guard Tate McCollum was a first-team all-state pick in Class 3A after leading the Spartans to a 23-3 record and the first state tournament appearance since 2016.
McCollum averaged a team-high 18.9 points per game while shooting 41 percent from the floor including 39 percent from 3-point range while ranking second in the state with 101 made 3-pointers.
The 5-foot-10 McCollum also averaged 2.4 assists, 2.3 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game.
Liberty High junior point guard Jerimiah Washpun was a second-team all-state selection in Class 4A.
Washpun averaged 22.2 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.2 steals per game while helping Liberty High to a 8-15 record.
