West Branch and Regina Each Put Four Players on River Valley Conference South Division Teams

West Branch and Regina each had four players named to the River Valley Conference South Division softball teams when the conference released its postseason awards on Tuesday.
Regina sophomore Lily Nibaur earned first team honors to highlight four Regals to earn all-division honors.
Junior Harper Erwin and senior Lacy Chambliss each earned second team honors while senior Reese Litton was a South Division honorable mention pick.
Nibaur went 5-6 with a 4.48 ERA and struck out 97 in 86 innings pitched for Regina and also batted .344 with eight runs scored.
Erwin earned second team honors as an infielder after the junior third baseman batted .281 with six extra-base hits, a home run and 15 runs.
Chambliss earned second team honors as a catcher after batting .179 with a team-high 13 RBI.
West Branch had a pair of first team picks to highlight its four all-division honorees.
Sophomore Sulli Bucknell and freshman Lander Malloy were each selected to the South Division first team.
Bucknell was a first team pick as an infielder after batting .361 with 19 runs scored and 17 RBI.
Malloy earned first team honors as a utility pick following a freshman season in which she batted .346 with four doubles and seven RBI and went 8-11 with a 5.41 ERA in a team-high 112 2/3 innings pitched.
Sophomore Ava Burnett was a second team selection as an infielder after batting .273 with 14 runs scored and six RBI and freshman Karly Shelton earned South Division honorable mention status.
