RVC South Division Champ Regina Has Six Players Named to RVC All-Division Teams, West Branch Has Four

Regina enjoyed one of its most successful baseball seasons in recent history posting a 22-6 record and winning a River Valley Conference South Division title under first-year head coach Mark Roering.
On Tuesday the Regals had several individual rewarded for their team success.
Regina had six players earn River Valley Conference all-South Division honors when then conference released its postseason awards.
Sophomores Trey Streb, Will Litton and Jack Gavin and senior Connor Nicpon all earned first team South Division honors and Roering was named RVC South Division coach of the year after leading the Regals to the most wins in a season since 2018.
Senior Tate Lynch was a second team pick and sophomore Carter Carolan earned honorable mention honors for Regina which went 15-3 in RVC South play.
Litton earned first team honors as a pitcher after posting a 5-1 record and 1.37 ERA with 54 strikeouts in a team-leading 41 innings.
The sophomore right-hander also batted .407 with 10 extra-base hits and 18 RBI on his way to first-team all-South Division honors.
Gavin and Nicpon were each first team selections as infielders.
Nicpon batted .307 and led Regina with 25 walks and 30 runs scored while driving in 14 runs.
Gavin batted a team-high .423 and also led Regina in RBI (29), on-base percentage (.521) and OPS (1.085).
Streb was a first team all-South Division pick as an outfielder after batting .380 with 28 runs scored 23 RBI and a team-leading 16 stolen bases.
Lynch earned second-team honors as a utility player after batting .301 with 18 RBI and also posting a 1-1 record and three saves with a .84 ERA and 25 strikeouts in 16 2/3 innings pitched.
West Branch had four players named to the South Division squad led by senior Ian Nelson and sophomore Garrett Sotzen who were both first team picks.
Sotzen was a first-team pick at catcher after batting .362 with seven extra-base hits, two home runs and 13 RBI.
Nelson earned first team honors as an outfielder following a senior season in which he batted .257 with 17 runs scored and nine RBI.
Junior Nolan Staker earned second team honors as an outfielder and senior Connor Rios was an honorable mention selection for the Bears.
Staker batted .310 with seven extra-base hits, a home run and a team-high 16 RBI.
