West High Forward Fincham Commits to Drake

One of the best all-around players in the state will be staying home to play her college basketball in the state of Iowa.
West High senior Grace Fincham announced her commitment to Drake with a post on social media on Sunday.
“Go Bulldogs,” Fincham wrote on her commitment post on X on Sunday.
A three-year starter for the Trojans, Fincham is coming off a junior season in which she earned all-state honors for the second consecutive season while averaging career highs in points, rebounds, assists and steals.
Fincham led West High with 16 points, 7.9 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game last season helping the Trojans to a 15-9 record and a berth in a Class 5A regional title game.
The 5-foot-11 Fincham was a second-team Class 5A all-state selection by the Iowa Girls Coaches Association ands was a unanimous Mississippi Valley Conference all-Mississippi Division pick.
Fincham scored in double figures in 20 of 24 games this season and scored 20 or more points seven times while posting six double-doubles.
Along with her scoring and rebounding Fincham averaged 3.2 assists while shooting 49 percent from the field and 65 percent from the free throw line.
