Solon senior Isaiah Zoske capped a brilliant career with a third-place finish at the Class 3A state golf meet at Pheasant Ridge Golf Course in Cedar Falls on Wednesday.

Zoske finished with a four-under-par 36-hole total of 140 at the two-day event finishing three strokes back of individual champion Parker Rodgers of Nevada.

The third-place finish was the fourth consecutive top-10 finish at the state meet for Zoske who was the 3A runner-up last season.

Zoske shot a five-under-par 67 on the opening day of competition on Tuesday and followed with a 73 on Wednesday to secure the third-place finish.

Gilbert senior Ryan Lynch shot a 70 on Wednesday to finish one stroke back of Rodgers with a 138.

The third-place finish from Zoske helped Solon to a sixth-place team finish as the Spartans finished with a two-day total of 609.

Waverly-Shell Rock won the 3A team title by tiebreaker over MOC-Floyd Valley after each team finished with a 588.

Gilbert was third with a 596 followed by Independence with a 597 and Ballard with a 608.

Solon freshman Ryder Laing shot a two-day score of 154 to finish in 27^th place while senior Nolan Seagren shot a 157 to finish in 35^th and senior Nick Stahle fired a 164.
