Solon continued its torrid start to the season setting a new 18-hole school record on its way to the team title at its own Lady Spartan Invitational on Tuesday at Saddleback Ridge Golf Course in Solon.

The Spartans had four players finish in the top 10 on its way to posting a new school record score of 334 to finish 14 strokes in front of runner-up Benton Community.

Clear Creek Amana was third with a 352 followed by West Delaware with a 356 while West Branch was seventh with a 402.

Senior Sydney Dee led the way for Solon placing fourth with a 79 while three other Spartans shot 86 or better on Tuesday.

Jaya Farlinger finished fifth with an 84 while teammate Macy Fuller was sixth with an 85.

Izzy Frees shot an 86 to finish eighth for Solon.

Mya Miller fired an 85 to place seventh for the Solon junior varsity team.

Clear Creek Amana was led by Brooklyn Lee who finished runner-up with a 71, one stroke behind individual champion Halle Sobaski of Benton Community.

Gwen Dao shot a 90 and Elise Berry added a 93 for the Clippers.

West Branch was led by Romy Springensguth with a 94 while Olivia Thomas and Adelyn Hetrick each shot 100 for the Bears.
