Liberty High moved up one spot in the most recent girls soccer rankings released on Wednesday by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union.

Liberty High moved up one spot from 10th to ninth in the Class 3A rankings released on Wednesday after posting consecutive 3-1 wins over Class 2A No. 10 North Scott and City High to improve to 4-0 on the season.

The Lightning join top-ranked Waukee Northwest as the lone remaining unbeaten and untied teams in Class 3A this season.

Other top-ranked teams in the rankings this week are Waverly-Shell Rock in Class 2A and Denver in Class 1A.
