Class 5A ninth-ranked City High had four players with at least nine points and held off Class 4A third-ranked Maquoketa in a top-10 showdown on Monday in Iowa City.
August Palmer led City High with 18 points as City High improved to 14-6 on the season.
Maquoketa had a six-game winning streak stopped with the loss and dropped to 18-2 on the season.
Kaitlin Loria had 13 points for City High while Tessa Driscoll and Emmy McComas each had nine points for the Little Hawks.
Hattie Galloway had six points and Maybes Miller had three for City High.
Cora Widel had 18 points to lead Maquoketa while Justice Armbruster and Kendall Kuhlman each had nine points for the Cardinals.
