The match of the night at the River Valley Conference meet was one to remember for West Branch senior Teagyn Hartz.

Seventh-ranked Teagyn Hartz (31-2) pinned third-ranked Bricsia Garcia-Vasquez (25-1) of West Liberty in the 190-pound title match to cap a strong showing for West Branch on Friday at the conference meet at West Liberty High School.

The pin in the title match capped an impressive performance for Hartz who pinned her way to the 190-pound championship.

Hartz was one of five West Branch wrestlers to finish in the top six on Friday as the Bears placed sixth with 66 points.

Mid-Prairie won the team title with 212.5 points followed by Anamosa with 200.5 points, West Liberty with 181, Wilton with 145.5 and Cascade with 129.

Gisele Gross (26-11) finished third at 155 pounds for West Branch while Saylee Gingerich (12-6) was fourth at 235 pounds.

Mia Rice (7-15) placed fifth at 115 and Karly Shelton (19-11) finished sixth at 130 pounds.
