Lucas Feuerbach won an individual title to help Solon place sixth at the 26-team Herb Irgens Invitational on Friday and Saturday at OABCIG High School in Ida Grove.

Feuerbach won the 215-pound title to highlight seven top-five finishes for Solon as the Spartans racked up 145 points.

Class 1A second-ranked Don Bosco won the team title with 237 points followed by Sergeant Bluff-Luton with 184.5 and Jesup with 183.5.

Feuerbach (33-3) went 4-0 on his way to the 215-pound title posting three consecutive pins before earning an 11-4 decision over Kyler Sallis of Don Bosco in the title match.

Jayden Steapp (22-12) finished third at 120 pounds and Grant Wilson (31-6) was third at 285 pounds for the Spartans.

Carson Kidwell (31-9) placed fourth at 157 pounds and Jackson Feuerbach (28-11) was fourth at 175.

Charlie Karam (27-14) placed fifth at 138, Jordan Schmidt (18-9) was fifth at 144 and Anderson Osgood (24-11) finished seventh at 106 pounds.
