Top-ranked Kara VeDepo won an individual title to highlight a trio of top two finishers for Solon at the WAMAC Conference meet on Friday at Mount Vernon High School

Class 1A top-ranked VeDepo won the 105-pound title and McKenna Rogers and Olivia Bonnema each added runner-up finishes as Solon placed sixth as a team.

South Tama won the team title with 260.5 points while Vinton-Shellsburg was runner-up with 173.5 points and host Mount Vernon was third with 157.5.

Solon was sixth with 133 followed by West Delaware with 127 and Benton Community with 117.5.

Clear Creek Amana was 12^th with 33 points.

VeDepo (33-3) went 3-0 with two pins and a major decision on her way to the 105-pound title.

VeDepo pinned Jayva Gomez of South Tama in 1:09 in the 105-pound title match.

Fourth-ranked Rogers (25-4) finished runner-up at 110 pounds while No. 10 Bonnema was runner-up at 140 pounds.

Rogers dropped a 1-0 decision to third-ranked Kiersten Swart of Mount Vernon in the 110-pound title match.

Bonnema was pinned by top-ranked Chloe Sanders of Vinton-Shellsburg in the 140-pound championship.

Lucianna Miller finished fourth for Solon at 135 pounds while Jadlyn Huynh was fifth at 115, Alannah Mahoney was fifth at 125 and Alexis Anderson was fifth at 130 pounds for the Spartans.

Clear Creek Amana was led by Emma Staebler who finished runner-up at 100 pounds.

Staebler (11-13) posted back-to-back pins to reach the 100-pound title match where she fell to Alina Ajruloski of Independence.

Jordan Hunt placed fifth at 155 pounds for the Clippers.
