Class 5A No. 10 Liberty High continued its busy week with a 55-30 win over Linn-Mar on Friday in a Mississippi Valley Conference Mississippi Division contest in North Liberty.

The win was the fifth in a row, and third this week for Liberty High which improved to 12-3 on the season.

Linn-Mar dropped to 3-12 with the loss.

Liberty High opened the week with consecutive wins over ranked teams Maquoketa and Cedar Falls and Monday and Tuesday before Friday’s win and will travel to eighth-ranked Waukee on Saturday.

Natalie Ramsey led Liberty High with 20 points and 16 rebounds while Ava Casey added 12 points and two assists for the Lightning.

Madeline Casey had nine points and Natalie Schechinger had six points and four rebounds and Sydney Van Heukelom had three points, three rebounds and blocked two shots.
