Girls Basketball Roundup: Lower Surpasses 1,000-point Mark as Clear Creek Amana Downs South Tama

Averie Lower poured in a game-high 28 points and surpassed the 1,000-point mark for her career on Tuesday as Class 4A No. 12 Clear Creek Amana rolled past South Tama 73-19 in a WAMAC West Division contest in Tama.
Clear Creek Amana improved to 8-5 on the season and 4-1 in WAMAC West Division play with its third consecutive win while South Tama dropped to 2-12 and 0-5 in WAMAC West Division games.
Lower led the Clippers while teammate Lena Evans added 20 points and Brooklyn Lee had eight points for Clear Creek Amana.
Kennedy Stratton had seven points and Nakia Tangang had four points for the Clippers.
Cahysia Kapayou and Dyan Keahna each had six points for South Tama.
