Girls Basketball Roundup: Clear Creek Amana Rolls Past Vinton-Shellsburg

Clear Creek Amana got back on track following a weekend loss to fifth-ranked Cedar Rapids Prairie with a 67-21 win over Vinton-Shellsburg on Tuesday in a WAMAC West Division contest in Vinton.
The Clippers improved to 6-5 on the season with the win and moved to 2-1 in WAMAC West Division play while Vinton-Shellsburg dropped to 4-8.
Lena Evans poured in a game-high 21 points to lead Clear Creek Amana while Averie Lower added 16 points for the Clippers.
Alex Schrage, Kennedy Stratton and Nakia Tangang all hade seven points for Clear Creek Amana.
Addy Chvala, Rylee Boggess and Alana Fleming had five points each to lead Vinton-Shellsburg.
