Class 5A No. 12 West High bounced back from a loss at No. 11 Cedar Falls on Friday with a 53-44 win over Class 3A third-ranked Dubuque Wahlert on Tuesday in a Mississippi Valley Conference cross-divisional contest in Iowa City.

West High improved to 6-3 on the season with the win while Dubuque Wahlert dropped to 3-1.

The Trojans trailed 30-29 at the half but took control of the game in the third quarter outscoring Dubuque Wahlert 15-3.

Sasha Baldwin led a trio of Trojans in double figures with 13 points and grabbed five rebounds to go with two assists and two steals.

Grace Fincham had 11 points, six rebounds and three steals and Ava Frese had 10 points and four assists.

Abby Neumiller had nine points and three rebounds and Kate Van Waning had four points, four assists, eight rebounds and two steals for the Trojans.
