Liberty High picked up its first win the season with an 83-61 victory over Dubuque Hempstead in a Mississippi Valley Conference cross-divisional contest in Dubuque on Tuesday.
Liberty High improved to 1-4 with the win while Dubuque Hempstead dropped to 0-5.
Jeremiah Washpun had a game-high 29 points to lead three Liberty High players in double figures.
Brady Randall had 19 points and Maddoc Coapstick added 10 for Liberty High.
Rylen Schweitzer chipped in with nine points and Quayshon Harrington-Johnson had eight points for the Lightning.
Reed Strohmeyer led Dubuque Hempstead with 23 points.
