Girls Basketball Roundup: Ramsey Pours in 34 as Liberty High Downs Dubuque Hempstead

Class 5A No. 13 Liberty High snapped a two-game losing skid with a 67-43 win over Dubuque Hempstead on Tuesday in a Mississippi Valley Conference cross-divisional contest in North Liberty.
Liberty High improved to 4-2 with the win while Dubuque Hempstead dropped to 3-3 on the season with the loss.
Natalie Ramsey had 34 points, 13 rebounds and six steals to lead the Lightning.
Ramsey was 14-of-19 from the floor, including 2-of-3 from beyond the 3-point line and made all four of her free throw attempts on her way to a game-high 34 points.
Kennedy Goodheart had nine points and five rebounds and Ava Casey added six points and five rebounds for the Lightning.
Janessa Mosley had five points, four steals, three assists and three rebounds and Sydney Van Heukelom and Madeline Casey each had four points for the Lightning.
