City High Tight End Sutherland Commits to Pittsburg State

Pittsburg State signed one of the state’s most productive passers in City High senior Bobby Bacon during the early signing period this month.
On Tuesday the Gorillas gained a commitment from one of Bacon’s favorite high school targets.
City High senior tight end Parker Sutherland announced his commitment to Division II Pittsburg State with a post on social media.
The 6-foot-6, 224-pound Sutherland was a Class 5A second-team all-state selection by the Iowa Football Coaches Association after leading City High in receiving yards and receiving touchdowns this season.
Sutherland caught 31 passes for 439 yards and a team-high seven touchdowns while earning all-conference and all-district honors.
Pittsburg State was 8-3 this season and lost in the opening round of the NCAA Division II playoffs.
