The Your Prep Sports Alumni Report is a weekly segment that recognizes the accomplishments of graduates from YPS area schools that are continuing their careers as student athletes at the collegiate level. Alumni News is a way for readers to keep tabs on former area standouts.
Andy Henson
Former West Branch standout and current Sioux Falls freshman linebacker Andy Henson was named to the NSIC first-team defense and was honored as the NSIC Defensive Newcomer of the year when the conference released its postseason awards last month.
Henson led Sioux Falls with 62 tackles on the season and ranked 13th in the NSIC averaging 6.4 tackles per game in conference games.
The 6-foot-2, 235-pound Henson had 6.5 tackles for loss and a sack, intercepted a pass and forced a fumble and recovered a fumble.
Aurora Roghair
Former West High standout and current Stanford senior Aurora Roghair finished second in the 1,650 freestyle at the Texas Swimming Invitational last month in Austin, Texas.
Roghair posted an NCCA “A” standard time of 15:36.43, which was the second fastest in program history and five seconds faster than her previous best time.
Roghair also was a part of the Stanford relay team that finished runner-up in the 400 freestyle relay.
Cam Miller
Solon graduate and current North Dakota State senior quarterback Cam Miller was named a finalist for the Walter Payton Award presented to the FCS Offensive Player of the Year.
Miller has completed 190-of-256 passes for 2,340 yards with 23 touchdowns and one interception and has rushed for 370 yards and seven touchdowns.
He leads FCS in passing efficiency (179.9) and ranks second in completion percentage (.742) while helping the Bison to a 10-2 record and a spot in the FCS Playoffs.
