Liberty High will send a pair of runners to the state cross country meet in Fort Dodge next week.

Sophomore Chelsea VeDepo and senior Mimi Marquardt each secured individual spots at Class 4A state meet with top-25 finishes at the 4A state qualifier at the Dubuque Soccer Complex on Wednesday.

VeDepo finished 14^th in a time of 19:07.5 to earn a spot at the state meet while Marquardt finished 21^st in a time of 19:55.1 to secure a trip to Fort Dodge.

Third-ranked Dubuque Senior won the team title with 31 points followed by No.11 Dubuque Hempstead with 58 points and eighth-ranked Cedar Falls with 66 points.

Cedar Rapids Prairie was fourth with 110 and Liberty High was fifth with 123.

Elsie Bisgard finished 25^th in 20:42.6 and Peyten Eide was 29^th in 20:59.7 for Liberty High.
