Girls Cross Country Roundup: Clear Creek Amana Seniors Barker and Kinzenbaw Qualify For State Meet

Clear Creek Amana seniors Kira Barker and Sara Kinzenbaw each earned spots at the state cross country meet with top-15 finishes at the Class 3A state qualifying meet on Wednesday in Waverly.
Barker finished 10th and Kinzenbaw was 15th at the 3A qualifier at Max Championship Cross Country Course in Waverly.
Clear Creek Amana narrowly missed qualifying for the state meet as a team, finishing fourth with 103 points.
Second-ranked Mount Vernon-Lisbon won the team title with 47 points followed by No. 14 Decorah with 89 points and Clear Lake with 98 points.
Barker became a four-time state qualifier by placing 10th in a time of 19:45.3 and Kinzenbaw was 15th in a time of 19:58.7 for the Clippers.
Raegan Wyant finished 24th in 20:37.1 and Kadence Whitmer was 25th in 20:37.8 for Clear Creek Amana.
