West High Climbs in Class 5A RPI Rating After Win Over Pleasant Valley

Regina and West Branch secured spots in the 1A playoffs last week while the other five Your Prep Sports teams are all in position to nab playoff spots on Friday.
City High, Liberty High, West High, Clear Creek Amana and Solon are all in the top 16 in the latest Ratings Percentage Index ratings released on Monday in their respective classes.
In Class 5A all 16 playoff qualifiers are determined by the RPI ratings where Liberty High (7-1) is second, City High (5-3) is ninth and West High (5-3) is 11th entering the final week of the regular season.
Clear Creek Amana (5-3) is 12th in the 4A RPI used to determine the four at-large postseason berths given to 4A teams that are not district champions or second-place finishers and Solon (6-2) is 10th in the 3A RPI.
Regina (7-1) climbed to fourth in the final Class 1A rankings of the season released by the Iowa High School Athletic Association and will travel to Pleasantville (6-2) for its postseason opener on Friday.
