Girls Cross Country Roundup: Liberty High Has Three Finish in Top 15 in Third-place Finish at MVC Divisional Meet

Liberty High put three runners in the top 15 on its way to a third-place team finish at the Mississippi Valley Conference Mississippi Divisional meet on Thursday at Seminole Valley Park in Cedar Rapids.
Chelsea Vedepo, Mimi Marquardt and Clara Welch all finished in the top 15 as Liberty High finished third with 79 points.
Dubuque Senior won the team title with 20 points followed by Linn-Mar with 62 points.
West High got a 10th place finish from Kate Van Waning and finished fourth with 117 points.
Vedepo placed seventh to lead Liberty High in a time of 19:02.1.
Marquardt was 11th in 19:48.3 and Welch placed 14th in 20:10.7 while Elsie Bisgard finished 23rd in 20:45.2 for the Lightning.
Van Waning led West High placing 10th in a time of 19:13.9.
Kalli Titus finished 16th in 20:21.2 while Susanna Olson was 21st in 20:37.3.
Mia Ahn placed 35th in 21:40.4 and Stella Hunter placed 45th in 22:44.1.
