Liberty High Hurler Olthoff Commits To Upper Iowa

Coming off a breakthrough season last summer Andrew Olthoff has found his future baseball home.
The Liberty High senior pitcher announced his commitment to Upper Iowa on Thursday with a post on social media.
“I’m excited to announce my commitment to the University of Upper Iowa to continue my academic and athletic career,” Olthoff wrote on X. “Thank you to everyone who has impacted my life along this journey.”
As a sophomore Olthoff posted a 2.19 ERA and 1.25 WHIP while striking out 16 in 16 innings.
Last season was the breakthrough for Olthoff who went 5-2 with a 1.88 ERA and 1.12 in a career-high 48 1/3 innings pitched.
The right-handed throwing Olthoff struck out 34 and walked just 14 while holding opponents to a .219 batting average last season.
A member of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Upper Iowa went 13-34 last season.
