The Your Prep Sports Alumni Report is a weekly segment that recognizes the accomplishments of graduates from YPS area schools that are continuing their careers as student athletes at the collegiate level. Alumni News is a way for readers to keep tabs on former area standouts.
Cam Miller
Solon graduate and current North Dakota State senior quarterback Cam Miller turned in a stellar performance in a 31-26 season-opening loss to Colorado in Boulder, Colorado.
Miller accounted for 358 yards of total offense and three touchdowns against the Buffaloes on his way to being named Missouri Valley Football Conference offensive player of the week.
Miller completed 18-of-22 passes for 277 yards and a touchdown and also rushed for 81 yards and two touchdowns.
Andy Henson
Former West Branch standout and current Sioux Falls freshman linebacker Andy Henson had a big game in a 34-13 season-opening win over St. Thomas on Thursday.
Henson had four solo tackles including two tackles for loss and a sack and also forced a fumble as the Cougars limited St. Thomas to 169 yards of total offense.
The 6-foot-2, 235-pound Henson redshirted last season at Sioux Falls.
Grahm Goering
West High graduate and current South Dakota State receiver Grahm Goering had career highs in catches and receiving yards and scored his first career touchdown in a 44-20 loss to Oklahoma State on Saturday in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Goering caught four passes for 69 yards including a 29-yard touchdown pass on Saturday.
A redshirt junior, Goering ranked sixth on the team with 13 receptions and 171 receiving yards last season as a sophomore.
