Boys Cross Country Roundup: City High Third, Clear Creek Amana Sixth in Strong Field at CR Prairie Invite

City High finished third and Clear Creek Amana was sixth in a strong field at the Cedar Rapids Prairie Invitational on Saturday at Cedar Rapids Prairie High School.
Linus McRoberts finished eighth and David Randall was ninth as 4A No. 15 City High had three runners in the top 20 while finishing with 80 points.
Isaac Sorensen was 10th and Brock Hilsman finished 13th to lead 3A No. 12 Clear Creek Amana as the Clippers finished with 204 points.
Class 4A second-ranked Cedar Falls won the team title with 44 points followed by 4A No. 12 Cedar Rapids Prairie with 60.
Class 3A No. 2 Pella was fourth with 123 points and 5A No. 19 Dubuque Senior was fifth with 126.
McRoberts finished eighth in a time of 16:23.6 to lead City High while Randall as right behind in ninth place in a time of 16:33.1.
Jarris Prottsman finished 19th in 16:58, Emmett Palmberg was 21st in 16:58.9 and Max McDowell was 23rd in 17:04.9 for City High.
Sorensen finished 10th in 16:43.5 to pace Clear Creek Amana while Hilsman was 13th in 16:50.3.
Carson Meskimen finished 42nd in 17:54.7 and Jackson VanHorn was 65th in 19:01.4 for the Clippers.
