All six of the boys cross country teams in the Your Prep Sports area will open the season in the next few weeks as ranked teams.

Liberty High, City High, West High, Clear Creek Amana, Solon and Regina all appeared in the preseason cross country rankings released earlier this week by the Iowa Association of Track Coaches.

Liberty High is the highest ranked area team coming in at sixth in the Class 4A rankings.

City High is 15^th and West High is 18^th in the initial Class 4A rankings.

Clear Creek Amana is 12^th in the Class 3A rankings while Solon is 16^th in Class 3A and Regina landed at No. 10 in the Class 1A rankings.

Top-ranked teams to open the season are West Des Moines Dowling in Class 4A, Gilbert in 3A, Okoboji in Class 2A and Lake Mills in Class 1A.

Liberty High sophomore Keegan Decker is eighth in the preseason Class 4A individual rankings and senior teammates Noah Gregoire and Jacob Madsen are 22^nd and 30^th respectively in the 2A preseason rankings.

West High senior Moustafa Tiea is 16^th in the 4A rankings.

Clear Creek Amana senior Brock Hilsman is 16^th in the preseason 3A rankings.
