Solon Senior White Named WAMAC East Division Player of the Year

For the third consecutive season Solon standout Brett White earned the highest honor awarded by the WAMAC Conference.
White was named WAMAC East Division player for the third straight season this week when the conference released its postseason honors.
The senior third-baseman highlighted a list of seven Solon players to earn all-East division honors.
A five-time WAMAC all-division pick, White closed an incredible career as a .402 career hitter with a .578 career on-base percentage.
White started all 188 games of his five-year career racking up 239 runs scored and 189 RBI and finished his career with 107 extra-base hits, 29 home runs and 114 stolen bases.
This season White hit .398 with 27 extra-base hits including 13 home runs and 42 RBI.
White scored 57 runs, had 24 stolen bases and posted a .560 on-base percentage and .856 slugging percentage.
Senior Vince Steinbrech and junior Nolan Seagren joined White on the East Division first team.
Seagren was a first-team utility selection after batting .354 with 11 doubles, 28 RBI, 29 walks, 38 stolen bases and 44 runs scored.
Steinbrech was a first-team pick at pitcher after he went 8-0 with a 2.48 ERA and a 1.25 WHIP with 55 strikeouts in 53 2/3 innings.
Solon senior catcher Gehrig Turner was a second-team pick along with freshman Maddox Kelley who was a second-team utility selection.
Turner batted .328 with 12 doubles, 28 RBI and 14 runs scored while Kelley hit .333 with 10 doubles, 18 runs and 38 RBI.
Junior Jackson Link and senior Tyson Wheeler were each honorable mention picks for Solon.
Clear Creek Amana had eight players earn all-division honors in the West Division.
Juniors Ty Fuller and Kaden Phan were both unanimous first-team picks and joined junior Maclane Morgan on the West Division first team.
Juniors Robert Meade and Reece Cochran and freshman Luke Young were all named to the West Division second team while junior Trace Robertson and sophomore Wyatt Key were both named honorable mention.
Fuller batted .456 with 17 doubles, 30 RBI and 30 runs scored on his way to earning first-team honors while Phan hit .386 with 25 extra-base hits, 44 RBI and 26 runs scored.
Phan also went 5-1 with a 1.51 ERA and .89 WHIP with 48 strikeouts in 37 innings pitched.
Morgan hit .457 with a team-high 52 runs scored, 15 extra-base hits, 31 RBI and 22 walks.
Meade hit .327 with 11 extra-base hits and 31 RBI and Cochran was 3-3 with a 3.08 ERA and 1.42 WHIP with 57 strikeouts in a team-high 38 2/3 innings pitched.
Young was 4-0 with a 1.79 ERA with .99 ERA and 25 strikeouts in 31 1/3 innings.
