Baseball: Solon Scores Late to Down West High in Non-Conference Matchup

Class 3A eighth-ranked scored a pair of runs in the top of the seventh inning on its way to a 5-3 win over West High on Wednesday in a non-conference contest in West Liberty.
The win was the fourth in a row for Solon and improved the Spartans to 25-10 on the season while West High dropped to 15-19 with the loss.
Kaden Hanson picked up the win in relief for Solon allowing one unearned run on two hits in 3 2/3 innings of relief.
Starter Ty Bell allowed two runs, one earned, on one hit while striking out three and walking six in 3 1/3 innings.
Nolan Seagren was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI to lead Solon while Garrett Stebral had a hit and drove in two runs for the Spartans.
Vince Steinbrech had a hit and scored a run for Solon and Tyson Wheeler walked twice and scored two runs.
Luke Ernst, Zach Logsdon and Nathan Heenan all had hits for West High.
Cole Collier scored two runs, Heenan drove in a run and Kyle Henkenius scored a run for the Trojans.
