Jackson Link tossed a three-hit shutout striking out seven as Class 3A sixth-ranked Solon downed Class 2A fifth-ranked Mid-Prairie 4-0 in a non-conference matchup in Wellman.

Solon improved to 11-3 with the win while Mid-Prairie had a six-game winning streak snapped with the loss and dropped to 10-2 on the season.

Brett White went 2-for-3 with a home run, three RBI and two runs scored to lead Solon while Gehrig Turner had two hits.

Ty Bell doubled and scored a run, Tyson Wheeler had a hit and scored a run and Vince Steinbrech had a hit and drove in a run.

Link walked just one to go with three singles in his complete game shutout.
