West Branch senior Claire Jarrett ended an impressive career on a high note on Friday.

Jarrett shot a final round 83 on her way to a ninth-place finish at the Class 1A state golf meet on Friday at American Legion Golf Course in Marshalltown.

After shooting an 87 in Thursday’s opening round Jarrett an 83 in her final prep round on Friday to finish ninth with a 36-hole total of 170.

Taylor Phillips of New London won the 1A individual title with a two-day total of 149 which was two strokes better than runner-up Jaylee Shaffer of Mount Ayr.

Jarrett finished four strokes in front of Maddie Schmidt of Dyersville Beckman who was 10^th with a 174.

Easton Valley won the team title with a 711, finishing 29 strokes in front of runner-up BCLUW.
