Liberty High junior All-stater Hildebrand Commits to St. Cloud State

This fall Asta Hildebrand will attempt to lead Liberty High back to the state volleyball tournament.
Before embarking on her final prep season Hildebrand made plans for her athletic future.
Hildebrand announced her commitment to St. Cloud State on Thursday with a post on social media.
“I am extremely excited to announce my commitment to St. Cloud State University to continue my academic and volleyball career,” Hildebrand wrote on X. “I cannot thank my family, coaches and teammates enough for supporting me through this process and making me the player I am today.”
One of the most versatile players in the state, Hildebrand is coming off a stellar junior season in which she led Liberty High in kills on her way to earning Class 5A second-team all-state honors.
As a sophomore Hildebrand had a team-high 863 assists on Liberty High’s 5A state title team.
Last season the 6-foot Hildebrand shifted roles and continued to shine hammering a team-high 361 kills on .239 hitting on her way to being named a second-team all-state pick by the Iowa Girls Coaches Association.
Hildebrand had 392 assists and 299 digs to go with her team-leading 361 kills last season helping Liberty High to a 19-22 record and a spot in the 5A regional finals.
A unanimous Mississippi Valley Conference all-division first team pick Hildebrand had 42 blocks and 22 ace serves last season.
In three varsity seasons Hildebrand has amassed 1,684 assists, 746 digs and 583 kills.
