Liberty High will enter the postseason riding a six-game winning streak and coming off perhaps its biggest win of the season.
Three players scored in double figures as Liberty High upset Class 5A tenth-ranked Cedar Rapids Prairie 62-54 in the regular season finale for both teams in North Liberty.
Liberty High improved to 11-8 with its sixth win in a row while Cedar Rapids Prairie dropped to 15-4 with its second loss in as many days.
The current winning streak for Liberty High started with a victory over 3A seventh-ranked Dubuque Wahlert and included a one-point win over cross-town rival City High.
Liberty High will put its winning streak on the line in its postseason opener on February 17 at ninth-ranked West Des Moines Valley.
Madeline Casey had a team-high 17 points on Friday while senior Haley Schroeder had 16 points and six rebounds.
Bella Tafolla had 12 points, three rebounds and three assists and Janessa Mosley had seven points, six rebounds and three assists for the Lightning.
Natalie Ramsey had five points, seven rebounds and three assists for Liberty High.
