Class 3A fourth-ranked Solon remained unbeaten on the season with a 78-52 win over Independence on Tuesday in a WAMAC East Division contest in Solon.

The Spartans improved to 18-0 on the season with the win while Independence dropped to 8-10.

Solon had four players in double figures led by senior Jake Benzing with a game-high 20 points.

Vince Steinbrech had 19 points for Solon while Jackson Link added 14 points and Gehrig Turner had 10.

Josh Beatty had 16 points and Jake Beatty had 14 points to lead Independence.
