Aurora Roghair
Former West High standout and current Stanford junior Aurora Roghair was named PAC-12 women’s swimmer of the week last Tuesday following an impressive week in which she won three individual events and added a runner-up finish in wins over Arizona State and Arizona.
Roghair won the 500 freestyle and 1,000 freestyle against Arizona State, posting the second fastest time in the nation this season in the 1,000 freestyle at 9:29.24.
She added a runner-up finish in the 200 freestyle against No. 19 Arizona state as Standford remained undefeated on the season.
Against Arizona, Roghair won the 200 backstroke in a time of 1:56.56.
Paige Rocca
City High graduate and current Missouri State senior guard Paige Rocca had nine points, three rebounds and two assists in an 84-74 win over Murray State on Sunday in Murray, Kentucky.
Rocca helped Missouri State improve to 13-5 on the season and 7-2 in Missouri Valley Conference play with the win.
On the season Rocca ranks fourth on the team averaging 9.4 points per game while shooting 41 percent from 3-point range.
Rocca is also averaging 2.2 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game.
Kaleba Jack
Former City High standout and current Iowa junior Kaleba Jack had a pair of top-15 finishes at the Blake and Gold Invitational last week in Iowa City.
Jack finished 13th out of 36 competitors in the 60 meter in a time of 6.96 and also finished eighth in the long jump with a jump of 22-4 ¼.
