West High and Solon each held their spots in the most recent boys basketball rankings released on Monday by the Iowa High School Athletic Union.

West High (12-1) is second in the Class 4A rankings for the second week in a row while Solon (15-0) remained fourth in the Class 3A rankings.

Solon joins top-ranked Clear Lake as the only remaining unbeaten teams in 3A and trails Clear Lake, ADM and Waverly-Shell Rock in the 3A rankings.

West High has won eight games in a row and is coming off a 45-43 win over ninth-ranked Cedar Falls on Saturday.

The Trojans trail top-ranked Cedar Rapids Kennedy (14-0) in the 4A rankings while West Des Moines Valley, Sioux City East and Waukee round of the Class 4A top five.

Other top-ranked teams this week are West Lyon in Class 2A and Bellevue Marquette in Class 1A.
