City High Senior Linebacker Clay Commits to Central College

One of the leaders of the City High defense announced his future football plans on Thursday.
City High senior linebacker Holdon Clay announced his commitment to Central College with a post on social media.
“I am more than excited to announce my commitment to Central College,” Clay wrote on X. “Thank you to everyone you helped me get to this point.”
A three-year varsity contributor, Clay had 72.5 tackles including 8.5 for loss in his career.
The 5-foot-10, 190-pound Clay ranked third on the team with 34 tackles as a junior in 2022 making three tackles for loss.
Clay was off to a stellar start as a senior recording double digit tackles in each of the first two games.
He finished with 31.5 tackles, including 20 solo stops, in four games before sustaining a season-ending injury.
Over the past two seasons Clay rushed 14 times for 88 yards and two touchdowns, caught three passes for 34 yards and averaged 35.6 yards per punt.
Central College went 8-2 last season and is 27-6 over the past three years.
