Liberty High Senior Quarterback Beckman Commits to Iowa Western

One of the most productive passers in the state the past two seasons has made a decision on his football future.
Liberty High senior quarterback Graham Beckman announced his community to junior college power Iowa Western with a post on social media on Wednesday.
“Excited to announce my commitment to Iowa Western,” Beckman wrote on X. “Go Reivers.”
Beckman was one of the best quarterbacks in the state the past two seasons leading Liberty High 13-7 record in two seasons as a starter.
As a senior this fall Beckman ranked in the top two in Class 5A in completions (187), passing touchdowns (28), passing yards (2,593), total offensive yards (2,794) and total touchdowns (31).
Beckman completed 60 percent of his passes as a senior, leading Liberty High to a 4-5 record and helping the Lightning 37.6 points per game.
The 6-foot-1, 194-pound Beckman was a second-team Class 4A all-state pick as a junior when he led Liberty High to a single season program record for wins and the first playoff victory in program history.
Over the past two seasons Beckman passed for 5,173 yards and 59 touchdowns and rushed for 521 yards and seven touchdowns in 20 games
Iowa Western won its second straight NJCAA D1 title in December with a 61-14 win over East Mississippi.
The Reivers are 32-4 over the past three seasons reaching the NJCAA title game all three seasons.
