Class 4A fourth-ranked Solon stayed unbeaten on the season with a 70-54 win at Class 3A eighth-ranked Marion on Tuesday in a WAMAC East Division contest in Marion.

Solon improved to 13-0 with the win and completed the season sweep of Marion after defeating the Wolves 62-56 in Solon on December 15.

Marion had a six-game winning streak snapped with the loss and dropped to 9-4 on the season.

Jake Benzing led three Solon players in double figures with 19 points and also had four assists, three rebounds and two steals.

Rylen Stiegelmeyer had 15 points and three rebounds and Vince Steinbrech had 14 points, eight assists and five rebounds.

Gehrig Turner had nine points and Caleb Bock had six points for Solon.

Austin Knight added six points and three rebounds for the Spartans.
