Class 5A No. 14 West High snapped a two-game losing streak with a 64-47 win over Dubuque Hempstead on Monday in a Mississippi Valley Conference contest in Dubuque.

West High improved to 7-6 with the win while Dubuque Hempstead dropped to 4-11.

Grace Fincham had a game-high 20 points and seven rebounds to lead West High while Elle Barnett had 16 points.

Sasha Baldwin had 13 points, three rebounds and two assists and Abby Neumiller had six points, four rebounds and three assists.

Alyson Skala had five rebounds and four assists and Ava Frese had four points.

Chandler Houselog led Dubuque Hempstead with 18 points and Mallory Tomkins had five points, six rebounds and four assits for the Mustangs.
