Regina made its season debut and West High jumped six  spots in the most recent Iowa High School Athletic Association Boys Basketball Rankings released on Monday.

West High (9-1) jumped from eighth to second in the Class 4A rankings that were released on Monday while Regina (12-2) made its season debut in the Class 2A rankings at No. 10.

Solon (12-0) remained fourth in the latest Class 3A rankings.

Regina makes its debut in the 2A rankings after pushing its win streak to 12 with a win over previously third-ranked and unbeaten Monticello on Saturday.

Monticello (11-1) is seventh in Monday’s rankings followed by Treynor, Grundy Center and Regina. West Lyon remained atop the 2A rankings.

West High has won five games in a row and avenged its only loss of the season with a 52-47 win over Linn-Mar on Friday.

The Trojans trail only top-ranked Cedar Rapids Kennedy (11-0) in the 4A rankings and are followed by CIML teams Waukee, West Des Moines Valley and Ankeny Centennial in the 4A top five.

Solon held its spot in the Class 3A rankings and joins top-ranked Clear Lake as the only two remaining unbeaten teams in 3A.

ADM is second in Class 3A followed by Waverly-Shell Rock, Solon and Decorah.

Bellevue Marquette took over the top spot from North Linn in the Class 1A rankings
